day one of my marketing blog
"The time has come the walrus said
to speak of many things
Of ships and seas and sealing wax
and cabbages and kings."
Recently I've upgraded my Authors' Den status in order to publish a few of my books. Authors' Den is a website for readers as well as writers and has come a long very well since it's first appearance. I'm not new to it, but have not really used it a lot. Now that I'm 65 and have more time on my hands, I've decided to return and spend more time with my writing, perhaps publishing my last three books; "A Time for Kindness", "A Time for Herself", and "A Time for the Past".
I tried to start a blog on Authors' Den, but ran into some technical difficulties, so... I fell back on my old reliable standby, Homestead. I can always post here... and no difficulties. Thank you, Homestead.
Anyway, my father was born in England and used to spout "The time has come the walrus said..." quite a bit when I was growing up. Perhaps they made him memorize "The Walrus and the Carpenter" as a schoolboy. But now that he's gone, I find that these words pop up in my head a lot. So... as he would have said, "The time has come..." for me to try a new adventure.
I've always written... but never focused on publishing. Writing is fun. Marketing is not. But hey ho, I'm willing to give it a shot. My pen name is Sheri Hart and the articles, stories, poems, and books you find there will be in my den. I'm offering the first story as a free read for the time being. If you enjoy it and want to read the next 2 books, I'm hoping to have them available as ebooks soon and in hard copy eventually.
Whether you like the stories or not, I have to say that I had great fun writing them. It's a funny thing about writing (at least from my experience), but as you write, the characters take on a life of their own. They say and do things that you didn't plan at all... and thus, the story progresses.
And truthfully, I would not be adverse to hearing some feedback - good or bad. I don't profess to be a great writer, I simply have a story to tell. Hope you enjoy it.
